If you’re a copywriter used to working on the print, branding or entertainment spheres, chances are you find SEO a bit tricky. If, on the other hand, you are a digital specialist, you may find that editors tend to reject your content compiled or written outside the jurisdiction of uncle Google.

Social media activism and the loss of compassion

Some people are so concerned with macro socio-cultural values that they inadvertently debase micro socio-cultural values.

Fact: the global culture has led to a more knowledgeable and interconnected individual.

The result is a global social network which does not shy away from addressing issues of a social or political nature on social forums and media. While the aim of such discussions may be inherently positive – such as to educate or enlighten others or draw attention to negative occurences, tendencies and values – the end-result is most often negative. In the name of ‘global accountability’, many individuals on such forums are marginalised, alienated and may suffer psychological bullying for either challenging views or not formulating their views in a sufficiently logical and coherent way.
